BUILD A STRONG HOME FAN BASE- IKE FRIMPONG URGES B/A ARTISTES

Ghmusiconrotation360:

BUILD A STRONG HOME FAN BASE - IKE FRIMPONG URGES B/A ARTISTES

Mr. Isaac Obeng Frimpong, programmes manager at Sky FM has urged artistes in the Brong Ahafo region to endeavour to market the region locally before exploding outside the region.

According to the host of the radio station's top flight entertainment show "Loud in Gh", the first step in showcasing both their talent and the region as well is to convince and win the hearts and patronage of the residents.

"The only on can gain prominence is to win the hearts of the indigenes. They then become your ambassadors and agents of the dispersal of ur art" Mr Frimpong said.

He also noted that artistes from the region should remain genuine to their style and not copy the style of any individual as this would make them unique.

"The artistes from the region should remain original to their style of delivery without marring their innate style with other artistes' style despite they have to be versatile" he advised.

Ike Frimpong as affectionately called, can be referred to as Brong Ahafo's DJ Khalid as he's wielding the talents of the artistes in the region to work on his maiden album with a track like bruh featuring the likes fali finest, kswagg, kelz and the others.

This project garnishes his relentless efforts to hoist the flag of musical talents from the region higher in the aerial.

LET'S UNITE TO SUPPORT OUR YOUTH IN BRONG AHAFO-AHMED IBRAHIM

Ghmusiconrotation36:

LET'S UNITE TO SUPPORT OUR YOUTH - AHMED IBRAHIM CHARGES B/A MPs

Early this year the member of Parliament for Banda in the Brong Ahafo region has bemoaned the division among members of Parliamen in the region, calling for unity to train the youth in entrepeneurship in order to reduce the incidence of immigration within the youth in the region.

Mr Ahmed Ibrahim made this revelation after receiving the award for the young politician of the year at the Brong Ahafo Young Achievers Awards for his exemplary leadership organised by Kingdom Management in partnership with the regional office of the National Youth Authority and International Organisation of migration under the theme 'Curbing the problem of illegal migration in the Brong Ahafo region'.

"We the parliamentarians from this region have to unite irrespective of our political divide to help enlighten our youth, right from the Senior High School on how to make it in the country through entrepreneurship and career development seminars to sustain their interest in working here and investing in our economy. This should be our priority rather than unnecessary bickering and power struggle" he noted .

Mr. Ibrahim, who is also a farmer and a publisher noted that "politics and migration" is not the solution to unemployment, adding that the influx of foreign nationals into the country is a strong indication that there is a potential for wealth creation in the country.

"In recent years we have seen a rise in foreign nationals trooping into our country to ply trade or invest in our economy. It presupposes that we can also make it as citizens. Leat us gear up and start up something and we can reap such dividends rather than embarking on this deadly voyages" the youth activist indicated.

Other awardees were Nana Kyei Adoma Samuel (KAS) of Suncity Radio, Alhaji Yahya of Ark Fm, Kofi Adoma of Adoma Fm, Aboagye Boadi Yaw of Space Fm, Angel Kwadwo Brefo of Winners Fm with Sandra Ozwald corned as the overall best youth achiever for her quality men shoes from her manufacturing company Ozwald Shoes.

You Will Stay Relevant If You Understand The Business Of Music – Abeiku Santana Tells Ghanaian Musicians

Ghanaian broadcaster, Abeiku Santana has schooled Ghanaian musicians on how they can stay relevant in the music industry.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Melvina Frimpong Manso on Suncity 97.1 FM’s Showbiz 971 in Sunyani, the multiple award-winning broadcaster stated that there are some fundamental principles which musicians have to learn in order to stay relevant in the music scene.

“Music is a gift and others do learn. You will stay relevant if you understand the business of music. Anybody who wants to stay relevant should learn from those who have experience in it. You have to know the technicalities. Music must be something that you have passion for,” he said.

“Up and coming musicians should learn how to stay relevant in the industry. There are some fundamental principles which will make things difficult for you if you do not follow. Whom are you doing the song for? The message it carries and the rhythm of the song. You have to know all these before you come out with a song. Make sure it will be a taste for DJs,” Abeiku Santana advised.

“Music is a trend. It keeps on changing so you have to know the trend…and be unique because there are so many people in this field,” he added.

According to him, the availability of internet—and more media outlets have change how things are done in the industry.

“The Ghana music industry has developed. At first when it was only GBC, songs submitted by musicians had to on queue before it is aired. It took time for people to hit because there weren’t so much radio and television stations. The variety of genres is also something we can use to measure the development of the music industry in Ghana,” he emphasized.

VODAFONE ICON 2013 WINNER SEEKING FOR HIS RECORDING DEAL FROM ORGANIZERS

Vodafone Icons 2013 Winner Demands His Recording Deal From Organisers.

Winner of Vodafone Icons Street Edition, Ryan Korsah has accused organisers of the show of denying him a recording contract due him as part of winning the competition.

Ryan won the third season of Vodafone Icons, dubbed the Street Edition. He beat Kelvin to win the ultimate prize package valued at GHC 250,000. The prize package included a brand new Kia Sportage, Samsung products and a recording contract with one of the world’s biggest record label, Universal Music.

But speaking to KMJ on Daybreak Hitz, Wednesday, the artiste said all prizes had been given him except the recording deal.

“I have the car and the money. It’s left with the record deal which is supposed to push me high. They were supposed to take me to South Africa for Universal to sign me. It didn’t happen,” he noted.

“I’m more concerned about those eager to partake in reality shows. I have seen it all so when I see their zeal in taking part of such contests, I get worried and sad for them," he added.

Asked why he is not taking any legal action against them, Ryan’s answer, was not convincing, abrantepa.com can state.

It’s not like I’m picking up on them but I feel I have to tell people. I still have my core fans asking of me,” he said.

Adding, “I get people to call them all the time just to remind them of the promise but I don’t hear anything from them.”

Ryan indicated that he was given GHC 50,000 cash but he used the amount for a number of things, including paying for the loan his family went in for to help him win the competition.

“Family people got loans just to vote for me and we have to pay back. I drive, I have to pay for fuel. If I want to do something else apart from music, I have to. I’m a grown up. Apart from the 50,000, they are supposed to do something extra. The money is nothing. They are supposed to give me exposure,
